This architectural study deals with the reconversion of the old mill and its new addition in Prostejov, CZ. Except of the old mill we have designed the newly build house on the place of todays villa. We create a semiprivat space between the houses with a little piazza with trees and benches, children playground and devide this place into the car and non car section. Mill with the new addition with 11 flats The main part from the old mill granary will stay preserved and reconverted in to the large open living spaces. The new addition spreads from this part towards the main street. There is a coffee house with about 30 places and bar, placed in the ground floor with his access from the street and parking. Entrance to the house is designed in the middle and leads into the foyer with the lift and new stairways. There is a swimming pool and sauna located in the ground floor just for the local residents.There are planed three full flat floors in this house and one backstepping floor on top of the new addition with one flat and large terrace. On this level is also accessable the only duplex in this house whit large living room, extended on two floors in to the roof extension. The total clear flat area of the old mill house shoul be around 1 250 m2 plus terraces and balconies. The technical equipment is located on the ground floor, together with the pool and sauna. New villa with 5 flats The new house is planed with two full levels, each with two flats and one backstepping roof level with a huge roof flat and terracce. There is seven garages planed on the ground floor together with sellers, technical equipment and the main entrance. The total clear flat area in the new house should be around 530 m2 plus about 90 m2 of terraces. In total The entire rough build up space in the old mill with the extention is about 7 500 m3. New villa with 5 flats contents around 3 200 m3. Very important for the success of this complex beside the perfect plans and eyetaking architecture, will be the choice of materials and the workmanship of the details, as well as the atmosphere of the space between the houses.

Architektonický atelier A2 ARCHITEKTI založili v roce 1999 ing. arch. David Benda a ing. arch. Robert Štefka. V roce 2004 byl atelier převeden na společnost s ručením omezeným. Oba společníci jsou autorizovaní architekti, členové České komory architektů.
Společnost se zabývá komplexní projekční činností v oboru pozemních staveb od bytové výstavby po průmyslové objekty v rozsahu od urbanistických studií po prováděcí projekty. Společnost rovněž zpracovává projekty rekonstrukcí a obnovy památkových objektů.
Atelier za dobu své činnosti vytvořil desítky projektů a realizací po celé České republice, hlavními místy jeho činnosti je Olomoucký kraj. Kmenovou část atelieru tvoří architekti. Podle rozsahu, charakteru a místa zakázky sestavuje atelier projekční tým z prověřených externích stavebních profesí s vlastním hlavním inženýrem projektu, který vede zakázku přes všechny projekční fáze.
